You truly don't need to know how to draw to take advantage of this skill. We have delivered visual thinking training to hundreds of people and if there's one thing we have learned - if you can hold a pen, we can teach you to draw.

We hear you - and you're not alone in thinking this. Rest assured, you truly don't need to know how to draw to take advantage of this skill. We have delivered visual thinking skills training to hundreds of people and if there's one thing we have learned - If you can hold a pen, we can teach you to draw.

  • The What, Why, Where, Who, and How of Visual Thinking

  • Learning the 'Visual Alphabet' to support the development of your own..

  • ..set of icons and symbols which form your 'Visual Vocabulary'

  • Using text containers and connecting elements to link related topics

  • People, emotions, and situations

  • Making your visuals POP with shade and colour

  • Visual hierarchy - how to most effectively display information across the page

  • How to take effective Sketchnotes (notes using both visual aids and text)

General Information on the workshop

  • This workshop runs for one-day (generally 0900-1600 but please see the booking page for each course as this can change). As such, we ask for participants to bring their own lunch.

  • Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

  • All necessary materials will be provided (sketchbooks, pens, etc.); however, please don't be dissuaded from bring your own stationery if you want to.   

  • We will share a kit list at the end of the day which shows everything used during the day and where to purchase them should you be so inclined.

  • Each participant will receive a certification of completion to be proudly displayed in the most prominent position in the house. Or not. Your choice.

  • If there are any requirements for those with additional needs, please reach out to us so that we can do our best to support appropriately.  

  • To make sure that everyone received the same quality experience, we limit the number of spaces on each course to 30 participants. If you would like to make a larger booking, please get in touch and we would be happy to discuss this with you.

  • This workshop will be delivered by Robb Lockwood, Creativity and Leadership Coach at Atticus Hunter.  

A note on sustainability

We full appreciate that this kind of training requires a lot of paper and pens. To reduce our impact on the planet, we:

  • Use recycled materials where possible

  • Recycle all papers after the workshop

  • Use water-based, refillable pens with replaceable eco-friendly nibs

  • Can, on request, offer a digital version of the same workshop using Apple iPad and Procreate app

  • A tree will be planted for each participant who signs up
